Who would be a politician? You have people constantly harping on about what your not doing, no one thinks about the constant round of meetings, day and night, the negotiating, the struggle to get things done, the endless paperwork, I mean when did you last see an easy read or a small pamphlet from a government body - these are serious people doing a serious job!

  
The basic fact is...  we don't know what a politician does! 

We live in ignorance of the work they do and the world they live in - a world of agendas, meetings and committees. Their job  incurs little praise.......  think how you would feel when you get no praise for the work you do! 

Love them or hate them they are the individuals who have taken the responsibility for promoting and securing the communities we live in. I'm not advocating a "hug a politician" day, just remember that the media love a scandal and thrive on conflict. Our job, yours and mine, is to keep democracy working and that  process of democracy needs your help. What do you need to do to safeguard your freedom? The answer is simple:
