The newsletter was established to keep the community updated on additions to the web site. 

People found another use for them, they started to raise issues that concerned them, local issues like pot holes in the road, dog fouling, telephone masts and traffic problems were amongst those raised. These may seem small matters to some but these are the things that are the stuff of communities. It was giving voice to these matters where there was none before. They offered everyone the chance to get involved with their community

We're not a newspaper and we're not a replacement for community groups. If the issue is one which should be handled by a Community Council, Councillor, MSP or MP, we'll take it to them... and keep you posted about progress. If it doesn't fall within their remit we'll take up the issue on your behalf.   

Please note that some of our community newsletters are monthly and some are weekly, it's generated locally so each community looks after itself. We have Specialist Newsletters for you - the panel on the right will explain them to you.

 

When you subscribe you will be given the choice of what community newsletter you wish to subscribe to, simply put a tick in the box, you can subscribe to as many as you wish, though we recommend only those you are immediately interested in.
